Mar. 25-26, 2004 Agenda
This page has general notes and ramblings for our upcoming meeting on March 25-26. Feel free to continue to add and modify this page. A "working agenda" can be found at Mammoth Agenda with Time Blocked. This agenda is an attempt to take what's below (plus some) and organize it into four four-hour chunks of time. We can keep adjusting, as needed.
I would like to get some discussion of applications on the agenda. In addition to the sci/tech deliverables, I/we have expected outcomes regarding use of snow RS data for hydrology & water resources applications. Roger
Data lineage:
- how is everyone currently tracking where their data comes from and where their products go?
- what data lineage capability do you need that you don't have now?
- what are the elements (simply stated) of a good system (i.e. easy to use, easy to install, reliable, etc.)?
Collaboration
- revisit how we collaborate.
- should we dump the wiki?
- what stuff (info, data, software, algorithms) moves around and how?
- all hands telecons
- best time, frequency?
- technology meetings, science meetings
- how do we evaluate our progress and how often do we do this?
RICE/BALES
Discussion of:
- Landstat TM and Modis in regards to SCA
- Product evaluation of Modis (SCA)
NOLIN:
Discussion of MISR data for mapping veg structure/density
How to integrate that into planned products?
Product validation
PAINTER:
SWE in mountains - sustenance or smack?
Data flow - predistribution and distribution.
Products thus far.
Algorithm description.
Are we starting meeting sessions at 4pm?

- Does the current page structures meet the bulk of our needs?
- What modifications need to be made
- What was learned at the meeting with Barclay? How does the TerraServer piece fit into the project?
ROSENTHAL
AVHRR and TM algorithm description.
Project Deliverables
- What will be our product, technology and literature deliverables?
TerraServer
- how do you add new data types (i.e. MODSCAG?, MODIS)?
EIL:
- Scientists input regarding their requirements for ES3.
- what are the requirements of us as:
- a digital library
- a data archive
- computing resource
- Review existing and/or create new mock-up pages of user interfaces.
