Setting up a Conference Call from UCSB
We no longer use the MCI service cuz it's expensive, I'm leaving it at the bottom of this page in case the new service turns out not to function perfectly but here' the new gig:
Start a Conference
1. Send an email or voice invitation to those you wish to include, and provide them with the ReadyTalk 866 740-1260 number and your seven-digit access code (8932883).
2. Dial 866 740-1260 and enter your seven-digit access code (8932883).
3. Press '' when prompted to establish yourself as the chairperson and enter your chairperson passcode (7619) to begin your call.
To Change Passcode
1. Dial 866 740-1260 and follow the voice prompts to establish yourself as the chairperson.
2. Select “Account Options” (Option 2)
3. Select “Change Chairperson Passcode” (Option 1)

MCI's conference call scheduling service: call 1-800-475-5000 ...1(audio) 1(schedule) with the following information at least 20 minutes in advance to schedule your conference call.
- UCSB authorization number, which is 2136224v.
- Moderator's
- name ( )
- telephone number (805-893-5744)
- the University account number (8-487633-26315-3).
- Meeting date (1-30-4), time (3pm), and duration (90mins).
- Number of participants, including moderator ( ).
- EIL, Dozier, Walter, Painter, Nolin, Bales
- Type of service and features requested (audio conference) and unassisted dail in.
- Participant names and numbers for dial-out only.
