MODSCAG processing at UCSB

Current processing method

• manual step to download granules
• manual step to subset/reproject
• notify Tom Painter that granules are ready
• Tom runs MODSCAG on cluster for specified time range and ROI
• Tom notifies Peter that granules are ready
• Peter posts them to the EIL web site

Desired processing method

• automatically obtain granules from DAACs as soon as they arrive
  • DAACS don't notify us of new granules so we will have to check inventories every few minutes
    • maybe ECHO can help make this more automatic
• automcatically subset/reproject new granules
• have MODSCAG setup on cluster so it automatically processes new granules
• post to web site
